On July 5th 2018, Victoria Park Singers and Kensington Singers hosted their summer concert at St Giles-in-the-field in Central London in order to raise money for Key Changes. It was an evening of beautiful and uplifting choral singing, featuring the world premiere of ‘Glad Did I Live’ – a suite of five commissioned pieces by Nottingham based jazz/choral composer Benny Lee. The choirs also performed choral favourites including Ola Gjeilo’s Ubi Caritas, the Kings Singers version of And So It Goes, and the stunning Baba Yetu.
On the night we raised over £300 for Key Changes – a registered charity who provide music engagement and recovery services in hospitals and the community for people experiencing mental health problems. Thank you to everyone who came to see us sing.
