Get Happy!

On Thursday 13th July Kensington Singers and Victoria Park Singers delighted a big audience at St James’s Church, Clerkenwell in an evening of jazz classics and soulful songs.

Alongside well known pieces, the singers performed the world premiere of ‘Evocation’ – a series of original compositions from rising jazz artist Jihad Darwish. Darwish is currently gaining support from the likes of Jamie Cullum, and he most recently performed at the Cheltenham Jazz festival on the BBC introducing stage. Throughout the evening the audience enjoyed listening to a choir of over 120 voices plus jazz trio, sax, flute and strings.

The choirs raised over £450 for London’s Air Ambulance on the night.
